Where can you find urban wines outside of Chai Urbain?

The first signature vintage from Chai Saint Olive – the 480 cuvée – has been a resounding success, and we are incredibly proud to be able to distribute it beyond the urban winery. The first urban wines of Lyon are now available at wine shops in and around Lyon.

These wine merchants tasted the first urban wines from Lyon, and, won over, they adopted them for distribution in their wine shops. The 2020 vintage, vinified in our stainless steel tanks and bottled at Chai Saint Olive, offers four grape varieties in white and red:

• Chardonnay : A lively wine with aromas of orchard fruits (apple, pear). A beautiful balance and lovely citrus notes.

• Viognier : A fresh and smooth wine that expresses aromas of peach, apricot, verbena and white flowers.

• Gamay : A delicious wine with aromas of red fruits and floral and vegetal notes with a light tannic structure.

• Syrah : A wine with pronounced aromas of black fruit, sweet spices, and violet. A concentrated and expressive nose followed by a fresh palate with silky tannins.

From Lyon to Chaponost, via Villeurbanne and Décines-Charpieu, we are touched by the positive feedback received from wine merchants and by the interest of wine merchants in distributing the first urban wines of Lyon.

• 7th: Aromo La Cave, 36 rue Pasteur

From our desire to have our own wine production tool and our wish to introduce city dwellers to urban winemaking, after three years of work on the development of our urban winery project, we are super proud to offer the first urban wines of Lyon!
